Hi would love to hear from anybody who remembers me.Have lived in Australia for over 40 years. Was in Bute last year its still beautifull but so quiet not full of atmosphere like it was in the fifties I loved the Salvation Army singing till 11pm and all the fairy lights, putting green was always packed. Quieter now but still beautifull

My mum returned to the isalnd about 5 years ago she was Edith McDade now Edith Morrison. We spent all of our summers on Butebetween 70-82 and have some lovely memories. I love to visit and chill its a wonderful place to be

My grandfather was Willie the Sweep and I spent most of my childhood holidays in 13 Stewart Street and went to Punch and Judy shows and shows in the winter gardens.

Hi my grandfather James Potter lived in Rothesay. I spent many summers as a child on the Isle of Bute, can remember the time as a child eating zavaroni ice creams and great zavaroni fish n chips, even played in the streets with Lena Zavaroni. Cycling down the serpentine was so much fun many memories.
