I'm a descendant of the Duncans who once lived at Langalchorad farm on the Isle of Bute. I was lucky enough this past summer to visit the isle and see my family's old homestead in person, and also the cemetery where they are all buried. I can't convey the depth of emotion I felt in those moments. Since moving to Wyoming, the Duncan family has spread throughout the US and many have lost touch, but I still know my great uncle, Hugh Duncan. 16 January 2013 - Missoula, MT

Visited your beautiful Island in June 2011 for the 4th time. I left at the library a document from the 1800's that was passed down thru the family. My ancestors lived at Ardnahoe Farm from the 1840's to the 1890's. I thought the document would be better off back where it belonged, on the Isle of Bute. Keep up the good work with your website.
