Although only a recent arrival on Bute, I am so taken by the place that I am offering a Guided Tour of the town. I have called my daft notion "Walkabout Rothesay"

First Tour is on Saturday 9 July at 12 noon, 2011 leaving from the Winter Garden (now the Isle of Bute Discovery Centre).

We will take a short circular tour, looking at War Memorials, Victorian Post office, Trinity Church, the County Buildings, High Street, Victorian tenements in Russell Street, and on to the Gallowgate, West Kirk and Pavilion.

All welcome.No charge. I will pass the hat around for donations to the Natural History Society, the Trust that runs Bute Museum.
